Due to Stanford Athletics and Recreational Youth Programs’ recently-communicated guidelines, all Stanford student-led summer camps are suspended indefinitely.
A message from Zahra:
Many passionate youth and parents warmly communicated with us and expressed their interest in our Summer Camp program during the past few weeks. We want to hereby thank you all for considering and trusting Stanford Archery Summer Camp as a place where you can be trained and thrive as experienced archers.
However, it has been with our sincerest regret to announce that we do not have the honor to offer Summer Camp to the enthusiastic local youth community this year.
We hope for the best and cannot wait to welcome the youth and minors passionate about archery to our next Summer Camp in 2022.
*Note: (Summer Camps have been suspended indefinitely, but we wish to bring them back one day!)*
Respectfully,
Zahra Rastegarmoghaddam
Stanford Archery Summer Camp Director
Run entirely by the students of the Stanford Archery Team, Archery Summer Camp is the best archery day camp in Palo Alto!
We welcome both beginners and experienced archers. At the start of the camp, students are divided into two groups, Novice and Experienced, based on their archery experience and competitive goals. The Novice group is intended for kids who are new to the sport and looking for a positive first experience with archery. The Experienced group is designed as a competition training camp that focuses not only on shooting form but also other critical parts of archery like mental resilience and being comfortable with shooting for score. Archers currently and regularly involved in Stanford Archery's JOAD or Private Lessons programs should sign up for the Experienced camp.
During the camp, students will learn and improve on their archery skills. Students will also receive instruction on other archery essentials such as self-analysis, troubleshooting, how to score, and tournament etiquette. Additional activities will include traditional summer camp activities to cool down while not shooting as well as a day of fun shoots (balloons, stuffed animals, competing in teams, etc). Because of the excellent student-to-counselor ratio, the specific camp activities can be tailored to the attending archers. Please contact us at stanfordarchery@stanford.edu if you have specific requests - we're happy to accommodate!
